Crown & Collar Institute recognizes that platinum-level breeder standards cannot be built by breeders alone.
Responsible breed stewardship may involve veterinarians, veterinary professionals, genetics professionals, biological science professionals, researchers, educators, welfare advocates, and preservation-minded contributors who help move canine health, development, genetics, and breeder education forward.
Professional & Scientific Contribution Honors recognize meaningful contribution, education, guidance, research awareness, welfare leadership, and mission-aligned service.
We’re not for everyone. That’s intentional.
Professional & Scientific Contribution Honors are designed to recognize individuals or organizations that contribute to Crown & Collar Institute’s mission through education, research awareness, veterinary guidance, genetics education, breed-health support, welfare-focused work, preservation support, or professional collaboration.
These honors are not breeder awards and do not automatically approve, certify, or endorse any breeder, dog, litter, pairing, kennel, program, or registry record.
Recognizing veterinarians or veterinary professionals who contribute to breed health education, screening awareness, welfare, reproductive care, neonatal care, brachycephalic health, orthopedic/cardiac/eye education, or responsible breeder guidance.
Recognizing genetics professionals, biological science professionals, or qualified contributors who support DNA-based pairing education, inherited disease awareness, genetic diversity, COI/eCOI understanding, breed preservation, or genetic restoration review.
Recognizing researchers, educators, veterinary college contributors, university-level contributors, or science educators who help advance breeder education, canine health awareness, welfare science, behavior science, developmental knowledge, or preservation education.
Recognizing professionals or contributors who demonstrate meaningful leadership in canine welfare, ethical breeding education, breed preservation, developmental support, genetic restoration, or long-term stewardship.
For individuals or organizations contributing education, resources, review support, or mission-aligned guidance.
For contributors with stronger documentation of service, education, research support, professional guidance, or welfare impact.
For high-level contribution to veterinary awareness, genetics education, welfare, preservation, breeder education, or Crown & Collar Institute mission support.
For long-term, meaningful, documented contribution to canine health, welfare, preservation, education, science, or responsible breeding culture.
Approved Professional & Scientific Contribution Honors may be displayed in Crown & Collar Institute records, contributor profiles, professional member listings, educational pages, research library acknowledgments, award summaries, and approved public materials.
These honors should be displayed only as officially granted and recorded by Crown & Collar Institute.
Professional & Scientific Contribution Honors do not imply that the honored person or organization certifies, guarantees, approves, endorses, or assumes responsibility for any breeder, dog, litter, pairing, kennel, program, title, award, pedigree notation, registry record, or Crown & Collar Institute decision.
Professional contribution does not replace veterinary care, legal registration, breed-club registration, government approval, university accreditation, laboratory endorsement, third-party registry requirements, or professional licensing requirements.
Unless specifically stated in writing, Crown & Collar Institute does not claim formal endorsement, accreditation, sponsorship, certification, or official partnership by any veterinarian, veterinary practice, veterinary college, university, laboratory, researcher, registry, government agency, nonprofit, or third-party organization.
Likewise, honoring a contributor does not automatically mean that contributor endorses every Crown & Collar Institute breeder, award, title, registry/program record, or guideline.
